About

Taff & Daff are going to be providing comprehensively detailed coverage from inside and outside the Sophia Gardens across 2026. From colourful match reports to opinions highlighting the good and analysing the concerns to interview features and deep diving into information you may not be aware of but would love to know and reporting news stories of signings - we'll be there!

This season landmarks a crucial one for Glamorgan with a return to Division One in the County Championship for the first time in over 20 years as well as a step towards professionalism and eyeing dominance in the women's team. CounterPress Media launching promotion on county cricket, revitalising reporting that was seen in our domestic game in the last century is exactly what Taff & Daff is here for.

Taff & Daff will also be providing a simultaneously running podcast with our reporters including discussions of recent on-field affairs, debating direction, interviews from players and coaches and insight from our fellow CounterPress journalist colleagues to preview upcoming matches.

Meet our team

As editor, I, Blake Bint, will be overseeing the outlet and be the man on the ground. I've been watching and reporting on Glamorgan since 2022 when I was a student studying sports journalism in Cardiff, to then (and still now) being the ECB Reporter's Network reporter of the club. Over the last few years, I've seen the club flourish and faulter in a short space of time, I've learnt how much they value their independence and pride themselves on Welsh pride and identity.

I wanted to start Taff & Daff to provide reporting I wish I had growing up as a county cricket fan (particularly of the County Championship!) and by being a part of the furniture at Sophia Gardens in recent times, I will be keeping a close eye on all sides of the club, looking to give fans detailed accounts of matches and reporting stories unseen to the naked eye because I know not every fan can always be in the ground.

Alongside me will be passionate and informed cricket reporters, each excited by the prospect of providing fans with more coverage than seen in recent years. Peter Miller comes with nearly two decades of experience in cricket journalism. As my predecessor to the ECB Reporter's Network role, this is a man who knows Glamorgan inside out. Peter also works for the Caribbean Premier League and has written books on associate nations, showcasing how nuanced his writing can be.

With this skill, Peter will be the go to guy to read for picking out and breaking down a key point from each game to make for a must-read weekly column. With his following of nearly 50,000 under the alias The Cricket Geek on X, he's a trusted, experienced reporter providing a crucial role to Taff & Daff.

One area of reporting on Glamorgan Cricket I want to stand out from other publications on is in women's cricket. In Srujana Deshmukh, Taff & Daff have someone who is going to make that happen. As a passionate cricket fan and broadcaster, Srujana will be across all things Glamorgan Women in their final push towards professional status coming in 2027.

Last but not least, Aled Hopkins comes with years of watching, following and working for his home county. Aled has been around both men's and women's squads as a broadcaster and with his flamboyant writing making for a personal feel to the reader he'll be showing off his versatility with features, and along with me, working closely with the club.
