After six games, Glamorgan have two wins, three draws and just one defeat, sitting third in Division One of the County Championship. It is arguably their best period since the turn of the millennium.

Despite the end of the first block of fixtures coming in mid-May with still eight to play, it can’t be denied that it is encouraging. Still a lot remains to do to survive and a title is still a very, very optimistic claim but who can rule them out at this stage?
