It will now come down to this. After a season of standing out and looking as though the season would be a huge disappointment if it went any other way, you can never be prepared for a final.
That’s what Glamorgan Women now have ahead of them. Losing just one game in tier two’s competitions this year, against their potential final opponents Kent, has been demonstration of their destructive, ruthless approach as they near professionalism.
Glamorgan lost out in the competition’s semi-final last year against Yorkshire by seven wickets after coming second to Middlesex in their group stage – with five wins and two defeats.
