Tribe Named in England Lions Squad

Asa Tribe has been called-up to represent England Lions in two four-day matches against South Africa ‘A’.
After touring with the effective England B team in Australia while the main squad competed in a lost-cause Ashes series, Tribe has been recalled with three championship half-centuries to his name so far this season.
The 22-year-old scored a 129 not out and 17 in his one first-class appearance for the Lions, batting in the middle order, earning speculation for a senior call-up.
The Glamorgan opening batter has played 31 times in recognised internationals for Jersey but will not appear for his home nation in their upcoming four T20 World Cup Qualifiers. Although, Tribe’s absence from these could be irrelevant to England commitments as two matches also clash with the ongoing County Championship game being Glamorgan and Warwickshire, with another also less than 24 hours after the end of the red-ball fixture taking place in Cyprus.
