Glamorgan are in need of a win.

To put it bluntly, there are struggles on the field for Glamorgan now. We’re halfway through the final block of fixtures and what should’ve been a period of optimism and relative ease, at least to start with. Instead, it has started with a loss and a draw to the bottom two and a heavy defeat to title challengers Somerset.

Even with Somerset’s quality and Glamorgan’s shortages, a defeat by an innings and 64 runs is more telling than one that is pushed close into the final day. Instead, the match was all but done when the league contenders were closing day one 92 for 0 after bowling Glamorgan out for 194.
