If there was something to be learned from Glamorgan drawing to Hampshire in rather unconvincing fashion it was that there is a dependability on a few to produce success. If they don’t come off, there is an instant feeling of concern. Both in the runs and wickets column.
So, who should Glamorgan count their chickens on in the final four weeks?
It has been one of those strange seasons whereby the weather was at an unusual best in April and May as far as the County Championship is concerned, therefore bringing a lot of dependability on spin on already dry and placid pitches. Last week however, in amidst of the rain in mass proportions, and dodgy overheads, it came to the seamers to have their part of play.
