Head Coach Richard Dawson has become the latest outgoing from Glamorgan after being announced as England Assistant Coach.

Dawson led Glamorgan for two seasons following the sacking of Grant Bradburn after the 2024 season leaving the former England international off-spinner as an initially interim announcement. A promotion at the first time of asking meant he was extended and finished sixth in Division One in 2026.

Taff & Daff first reported a major change expected within the club when an emergency meeting allegedly took place in early September – one day before the defeat to Warwickshire. At the time, Dawson said the meeting was “normal stuff”. Since then, the big announcements of Colin Ingram retiring, now Dawson’s departure, has left many gaps which will be tough to replace.
