Injuries continue to hurt Glamorgan despite minimal cricket played against Hampshire.
Despite the rain, despite the draw, despite the importance of the fixture heading into it, it was rather inconsequential in the end as far as a result was concerned. No match in Division One had a result to swing things substantially. Yet for Glamorgan, an outcome came that may have been worse than losing.
When Zain ul Hassan pulled up injured and couldn’t complete his 12th over of Hampshire’s second innings – a 23rd for him in the match – it brought about a number of issues. An opening batter had been lost for that particular match and then uncertainties arose for the next game starting just three days later.
