PREVIEW: Return to Red Ball Will Test Depth

Sitting third in the table after the first block, Glamorgan will look to attack this short block of two games before returning to T20 cricket. But with their hosts, just four points behind in sixth, this block could start to separate the runners from the riders and those at the bottom could start to be cut adrift.

Glamorgan finished the last block with a very handy draw away at Warwickshire in a game that they might have won had it not been disrupted by rain. That game saw hundreds for Ben Kellaway and Colin Ingram and another impressive performance for Glamorgan’s young starlet Tom Norton. Ingram and Norton have been shielded from T20 action. Ingram hasn’t played since picking up in inconspicuous injury in the first game at Northants. He is expected to have recovered from that and to be returned to the red ball side.
