PREVIEW: A Hope for a Result

It’s a quick turnaround from the game against Leicestershire that concluded on Monday, a game which seemed to die a slow death after day two. All thirteen players that were on the field staring up at the scoreboard before the final ball was bowled, waiting for the clock to strike 17:00 was perhaps a fitting snapshot of where the game had got to.

Glamorgan walked away with a handy draw against the fellow newcomers to Division One taking 12 points from the contest. They are, however, still looking for their first win this season against a Hampshire side that find themselves propping up the division despite having won a game this season. Their all or nothing style saw them defeat Yorkshire in round two but suffered a heavy defeat to Essex in round one and a two-wicket defeat to high flying Somerset last week.
