Duo Tipped for Return Left Out by England

It has been twenty-one years since Simon Jones, playing for his home county Glamorgan, represented England (and Wales) in international cricket during the historic 2005 Ashes series. Since then, the Welsh county has failed to produce or attract any England internationals to represent them on the global stage.

Ahead of this summer’s Test series against New Zealand and later Pakistan, pundits and supporters have been speculating how a revamped England side may look. After the fallout of the Ashes and for the first time in decades it appeared feasible to see Glamorgan players included in the squad for the first test of the English summer. But the wait will go on as Glamorgan’s top candidates were dismissed by Brendon McCullum, Ben Stokes and new Chief Selector Marcus North ahead of the opening Test.
