As Glamorgan Women prepare for the new season, Lauren Parfitt’s influence within the side continues to grow, not only as a consistent performer, but as the leader shaping the next phase of the team’s development.

Parfitt was central to Glamorgan’s 2025 campaign, delivering key contributions across formats and often in decisive moments. Her ability to anchor an innings while accelerating when required made her one of the most reliable batters in the side. More importantly, those performances frequently came in situations where composure and control were essential.

Her transition into captaincy marked another important step. Taking on the role during the season, Parfitt ensured there was no disruption to the team’s progress. Instead, Glamorgan maintained their momentum, reflecting a calm and measured presence within the group. That composure is salient to her leadership style.

“It’s about trusting themselves,” Parfitt said. “It’s about being themselves, not shying away from the work we’ve done and putting our best foot forward.” It is a message built on preparation and belief, rather than pressure, an approach that reflects both her personality and the direction of the team.
