Kiran Carlson was left “disappointed” as Glamorgan Men failed to qualify for the Vitality Blast knockout stages despite an impressive win over Gloucestershire on the final day.
The captain scored 73 from 40 balls in Glamorgan’s best win of the campaign, amassing 235 for 7 in a 50-run victory against their Severnside rivals who did qualify from the newly formed Central & West group.
Glamorgan finished fifth (of six) with a symmetrical record which was one win short of an amicable enough campaign to have qualified from all groups. The disappointing season means that Glamorgan have not reached the final eight in the competition for 10 years despite their two titles in that time in the One Day Cup.
