Sometimes things just go your way.

Ryan Hadley hadn’t faced more than 54 balls in an innings before lasting his mammoth 231 undefeated to secure a win over Somerset by two meagre wickets. In fact, he’d faced just 250 balls in his first-class career; with 38 in the first innings as well, that was more in the match than his whole red-ball time spent at the crease to date.

And for Glamorgan he’s still yet to be dismissed.

“I was telling the boys I hadn’t been dismissed since coming over here as a bit of a joke then came in this morning saying ‘it’s inevitable they’re gonna get me for the first time’. But here I still am, didn’t get out today. It’s a miracle.” He said beaming with bemusement after being Glamorgan’s second unlikely hero of the game.
