Last season saw a landmark development for women’s cricket. A new three-tier system with full-time salaries given at the domestic level for the first time in the top tier.

Glamorgan were placed in Tier Two (along with the 10 counties not given professional status of the 18 total that compete in men’s county cricket) with progression to Tier One guaranteed in 2027.

This fledgling structure was still finding its feet in 2025, but Glamorgan took no time to show their worthiness, headed by former New Zealand international Rachel Priest, as Head Coach.
